I feel kind of stupid posting this because there probably is something easy I can do to fix this...but I can't figure out what it is.
Anyway I just bought an Asus VS248H-P and am having big problems. I have it connected to an ATI HD 6870 via and HDMI cable (using latest Catalyst drivers on Windows 7 64bit) - and no matter what I try to do, the image will not fill the screen. There is a ~1' border on all sides of the image.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have it set to 1920x1080.
I have also noticed that although the specs for the monitor say it does 75hz, I am only able to set it to 60hz.
I have tried to see if there was a place in the monitors OSD to stretch the image but it looks like it is grayed out. Also, the OSD is inconsistant - if I change the sharpness settings, for example, the sharpness option subsequently becomes grayed out, making it impossible to change sharpness back to the way it originally was. I solved this by resetting each of the color presets to factory defaults as well as resetting the entire monitor to factory defaults.
So does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Windows correctly identified the monitor, but I suppose I can look at Asus' website to find an updated .inf file for the monitor. Other than that I have no idea what to try next.
One last thing - pretty much everywhere I have looked, this monitor has received very good reviews, so it is puzzling as to why Im having these issues.
